Werner Federico Ahlers is a partner in Sullivan & Cromwell’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Finance & Restructuring Groups whose principal responsibilities include coordination of the Firm’s practice in Latin America. Werner advises public and private companies, private equity investors and sovereign clients from around the world on a wide range of cross-border matters, including M&A transactions, joint ventures, special situations and structures, corporate, sovereign and project financings and crisis management mandates. He has particular experience advising strategic and financial investors in investments in countries across Latin America in the energy, natural resources, technology and infrastructure sectors, as well as in highly regulated industries, including telecommunications, healthcare and financial services.
