Rosanna Costa was appointed Governor of the Central Bank of Chile in February 2022, having served as a Board Member since 2017. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
Previously, she was National Budget Director at the Ministry of Finance (2010 – 2013) and Economics Program Director at the Liberty and Development Institute (1993 – 2010). Earlier in her career, she worked as an economist at the Central Bank of Chile (1984 – 1992). She has also served on several presidential commissions on pensions, labor, and transparency, and was Deputy Director of the Liberty and Development Institute and a member of Chile’s National Productivity Commission.
