Hans-Joachim Seyfarth is Head of Illiquid Assets Natural Capital at MEAG, the asset manager of the Munich Re and ERGO group, which manages around €305 billion. He is globally responsible for the company's investments in natural assets, leading a team that manages close to €1.7 billion in forestry and €400 million in agriculture across multiple geographies. Under his leadership, MEAG has completed major forestry acquisitions, including a €900 million transaction with Stora Enso and the purchase of its first forestry asset in Sweden, in partnership with Soya Group. He is a regular speaker at international forums on forestry and agricultural investment, and on the relationship between natural capital and private family offices.
