Benjamín Souza

Managing Director Fixed Income Strategy for Latin America, BlackRock

Benjamin Souza, Managing Director, is the head of the Latin America Investment Strategy team. He is responsible to develop investment strategies in the region, partnering with the Latam team on product delivery and support client sales.
He started his career at BlackRock as the fixed income product strategist for Latam. Prior to joining BlackRock in 2011, Mr. Souza was the Portfolio Manager for Invercap, a Pension Fund in Mexico for 3 years, where he managed a $5bn portfolio of international fixed income and private and public equities. Prior to that, he held various fixed income-related positions at Morgan Stanley, focusing on Latin America, including an emerging markets proprietary trader, an emerging markets strategist and an investment banker.
Mr. Souza earned a BS degree in Economics from the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana in Mexico.
