Silvia Fernández

Silvia Fernández Edwards, Managing Director, Country Manager of BlackRock Chile. Prior to joining BlackRock, Silvia served as Institutional Director for Latin America at Amundi from 2017 to 2022, where she was responsible for developing and executing the distribution strategy for central banks, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, insurers, and local asset managers. During this period, she was also responsible for Amundi’s offices in Chile and Mexico. From 2008 to 2017, Silvia was the Chilean Country Manager and Director of Latin American Pension Funds at Pioneer Investments. Prior to her time at Pioneer, Silvia was part of Vision Advisors and CB Corredores de Bolsa. She is a member of BlackRock’s Latin America Executive Committee, the BlackRock Latin America Regional Operating Committee, and Co-Chair of BlackRock’s Latin America Talent Development Committee. Silvia is an active member of the Capital Market Advisory Council, an advisory committee of the Chilean Ministry of Finance, whose purpose is to institutionalize public-private dialogue and interaction regarding the financial market development strategy. Silvia received her degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Chemical Industry from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
