Michael has over 20 years of experience in growth strategies and sustainable infrastructure. He has played a key role in developing Actis’s infrastructure business—first in Latin America, where he led and built teams in São Paulo and Mexico City, and later globally as Head of Strategy, driving the firm’s talent agenda through leadership of its Associate Program and chairing its Partner Selection Committee.

He is currently Chief Investment Officer and chairs Actis’s Investment Performance Committee. He is also a member of the Executive Committee, the Remuneration Committee, and the firm’s infrastructure and real estate investment committees. Michael serves on the Board of Directors of Actis Cathayze, Valia Energía, and Serena Energy.

Before joining Actis, Michael began his career at Arthur Andersen and NM Rothschild & Sons. He holds an MBA with honors from London Business School, was a Fulbright Scholar in Mexico, and majored in Finance at the University of Texas at Austin. He also volunteered with the U.S. Peace Corps from 2003 to 2005, where his passion for growth markets was born.
