Mr. Alfonso Eyzaguirre joined J.P. Morgan as a Vice President in March 1997. In his more than 25 years at J.P. Morgan, he has held different positions including Co-Head of Investment Banking Chile, Co-Head of Investment Banking & Coverage for the Southern Cone (Chile, Argentina, Peru, Uruguay & Paraguay), Senior Country Officer for Chile and currently occupies the role of CEO of J.P. Morgan Latin America & Canada and Head of Latin America Global Investment Banking. As CEO, he oversees all activities of the firm in the region. Mr. Eyzaguirre is also a member of the J.P. Morgan Corporate & Investment Bank Operating Committee and Global Banking Management Committee.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, he worked for Bankers Trust Company in New York as a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions/Private Equity Group. His transaction experience includes originating and executing M&A, ECM and DCM deals in different industries and countries across Latin America.
Mr. Eyzaguirre obtained his undergraduate degree in Economics and Finance from the Universidad Católica de Chile and holds an MBA from the Anderson Business School at UCLA. During his studies at UCLA, Mr. Eyzaguirre received the John Fred Weston award in Finance. He is fluent in Spanish, English and has a working knowledge of Portuguese.
