Jorge Quiroz
Minister of Finance of Chile
He holds a degree in business administration and economics from the Universidad de Chile and a Ph.D. in economics with a minor in mathematics from Duke University. In 2001, he founded the economic and financial consulting firm Quiroz y Asociados, leading it until early 2026. His extensive board experience includes serving as an independent director of the Santiago Stock Exchange and as a board member of Nuam Exchange, the holding company for the Santiago, Lima, and Bogotá stock exchanges. Additionally, he has held academic and advisory roles at ILADES/Georgetown University, Clapes UC, and Data UC, and has been a visiting professor at Duke University and a guest researcher at the World Bank. A regular columnist for El Mercurio, he is also a published author and film producer, with contributions to both economic literature and the Chilean film industry
